Rs. 451 CRORE TRANSFERRED TO OVER 1,78,417 BENEFICIARIES THROUGH BY SINGLE CLICK
INTERACTS WITH BENEFICIARIES THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCE
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred a sum of Rs. 451 crore to 01 lakh 78 thousand 417 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural by a single click from Mantralaya today. This includes Rs. 360 crore to 01 lakh 44 thousand 152 beneficiaries as the first installment for house building at the rate of Rs. 25 thousand each. A sum of Rs. 91 crore was transferred to 34 thousand 265 beneficiaries as second, third and fourth installment.
Pucca House is Everyone’s Dream
While interacting the beneficiaries through videoconferencing on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that everyone dreams of owning a pucca house. The PMAY aims at making it a reality. Under this, 60 percent of the housing cost is shared by central government and 40 percent by state governments. A sum of Rs. 01 lakh 20 thousand is provided to a beneficiary in instalments. Besides, an additional amount of Rs. 12 thousand is provided for construction of toilet. Moreover, wage is also paid under MNREGA for the labour contributed in house construction. So far, 18.85 lakh people have been benefited under the scheme, of which 15.94 lakh have already completed their houses.
Beneficiaries Thanked CM
During the interaction through videoconferencing the beneficiaries profusely thanked the Chief Minister for this assistance. They included Dhannalal of Badwani district, Anantram of Bhind, Madan Bharti of Dewas, Badri Dhakad of Guna, Pancham Singh of Gwalior, Shyamlal, Khuman Singh of Mandsaur, Maithilisharan Namdev of Shahdol, Dwarika Bai, Chhote, Kallu of Sheopur, Lakhan, Kallu of Shivpuri, Sawailal Baiga, Ramlal Baiga of Singrauli, Babulal, Purandas of Ujjain, Yuvraj Uike, Munesh of Betul. Local MLAs were also present with the beneficiaries, who informed about progress of the scheme to the CM.
MLAs Inform of Incomplete Houses
The Chief Minister told the beneficiaries that local MLAs had informed him that many houses under the scheme are lying incomplete as the beneficiaries have not received the second and third instalments. Acting on this, the second and third instalments have been transferred today. He asked them to build good houses.

Smt. Raniyaji of Rewa district informed that she had been living in an apology of a shanty for last 20 years with her children. Having a pucca house had been her long cherished dream. Today she has received the amount and her joy know no bounds. Ramlal Baiga of Singrauli informed the CM that thwe thatched roof of his kachcha house leaked in rainy season, making the life very difficult for his family. The amount under PMAY is a precious gift to him.
Caution against Corona
The Chief Minister asked to beneficiaries to maintain all precautions against Corona and wash hands at regular intervals. He said that labor intensive works have been started in rural areas. He asked them to be sensitive towards the workers coming to their villages from outside. Health check-up of all is being done and it is necessary for them to remain in isolation.
